Selections from TBT

Hi All,
Fresh from Florida, I am sharing our solution to no NLS TBT2. We offer "Selections from Talking Book Topics". Ta -da! <insert tiny trumpet blare here>. I go through the original Talking Book Topics, find some books of general interest in the top genres as selected by our patrons, and pick about 5 titles of each. We have:Fiction: Mystery & Detective, Romance, Historical Fiction, Suspense & Thrillers, and Westerns.Non-fiction: Biography, U.S. History, World History, Religion, Science.

We also do two things in our catalog: We have a subject heading for ALL of the TBT titles, and now have added a heading for just the Selections from TBT.  Attached find what we send, feel free to use the annotations/ templates to create your own offerings.

Attached please find formats you can use for Selections from TBT fiction and non:

• book numbers
• text of just the books and annotations
• final Word publication, can be printed on 11 17 paper, folded, and tabbed for mailing.

Hi all! I'm not sure what formats are most helpful here, so I am just attaching the final version that includes an order form. I think you can edit it for your library. 

Maureen - love these, thank you for sharing. Are you mailing these out to your TBT subscribers? Emailing? Or, do they go out to all your patrons? TBT patrons only, or just the ones who request it? ~ Tiff OR1A

Hi, we have local subscriptions for this, both USPS large print mailing and by email. Anyone can request it!
