Kyle isolated a bug in the Shipping Wizard’s reconcile feature causing consumable stats errors and is now working on a fix, but investigation of this issue continues. Testing is currently underway for the Workday API’s functionality and the NLS Patron Activity report, both of which are expected in the upcoming release. Additionally, developers successfully added login screen alert injection points for privacy agreements and rebuilt the KLAS installer to eliminate false-positive virus scans, paving the way for a transition to Microsoft Installer (MSI) format this summer. Preliminary discussions with NLS regarding USPS tracking barcodes are underway. A recent committee meeting indicates that NLS has narrowed the short-term focus strictly to Equipment, and that NLS is using 4x6 cards.Future development will focus heavily on security and infrastructure upgrades, including Keycloak authentication integration, automatic inactivity timeouts, and testing against FIPS 140-3 servers to meet a Fall 2026 NLS compliance deadline. An e-commerce server and credit card processing upgrade is also scheduled before the next fiscal year, alongside PIMMS data validation improvements to catch email errors. Meanwhile, work has restarted on a web-based KLAS prototype. These web-based modules will be rolled out piecemeal by function group, and will run simultaneously alongside the traditional database..Following Jason's presentation on excel files at the mini-conference, Keystone will keep in mind data accessibility options (like ODBC or JSON) so users could build custom dashboards. Hardware updates include structural reinforcement for the Scribe Micro and ongoing development of a multithreaded "Mega Scribe" software using Python. KLAS will be adding a dedicated Organization field to the Main Tab for LPBDs to eliminate previous notes-field workarounds. Finally, new requests regarding Braille/Tactile page counts in the Catalog and "smarter" status logic for Materials Requests have been added to the future issues list.
