For the next release, the development team is focusing on high-priority security tasks, including refining Keycloak authentication and preparing for FIPS 140-3 compliance. Other essential projects include integrations with SchoolTool and the NLS Patron Enrollment System, and trying to resolve consumable inventory counter issues through active IRC monitoring and testing. The committee discussed improving the WebOPAC user experience by addressing series ordering logic and adding download confirmation prompts to prevent inflated circulation data. These combined efforts in security, accessibility, counter integrity and some staff-side quality-of-life fixes are expected to occupy the full development schedule for at least the next two months. Due to the upcoming mini-conference, the next KDAC meeting has been rescheduled for May 20, 2026, to make sure all the post-conference feedback can be discussed.
