FYI: MOM4, PSM4, and VAN4

Per NLS Operations Alert No. 24-61: (brackets are my addition, based on our records)

The following magazines have ceased publication, so our producers can no longer narrate them. Patrons who are subscribed will not receive any additional issues. Past issues will remain available on BARD and for ad hoc duplication.

• Magazine of the Month, MOM4, audio [Last Issue Oct 2023]
• Popular Science, PSM4, audio [Last Issue Dec 2022]
• Vanidades, VAN4, audio [Last Issue Dec 2023]

If you are already circulating MoC Serials locally, it is not necessary to cancel the subscriptions for these serials as your subscribers will have already received the last issue. Leaving the subscriptions Active means that, if the serial ever resumes, the patrons would automatically continue getting the new issues. On the other hand, cancelling the subscriptions makes it clearer on the patrons' Subscriptions tab whether they actually still have any active subscriptions, and if all of a patrons' subscriptions have a cancelled date, they would no longer be included in Query Sets of patrons with active subscriptions. It's your call whether you wish to go ahead and cancel the subscriptions, or leave them "active" just in case they resume.

For libraries that have not yet converted to local MoC duplication, you will want to cancel subscribers for these serials to prevent them from getting the last issue.
