A function to batch add patrons to a serial

One feature we'd like to see developed would be a way to add a group of patrons to a particular serial, much like you can now take a group of patrons and make them all one service type, add a service queue, etc. We currently use targeted newsletters for different counties or groups of patrons to make announcement of programs and events in those areas. We also have situations where we'd like to bulk sign ups of patrons for the library's newsletter. Currently what we do is create a query by the group we're looking for and then pull in the results to the Patron module and then individual add each patron to the subscription. This can take a while depending on the size of the group. It would be nice to do this as a batch process.

Are you envisioning this as a tool to add or remove serial subscriptions based on a query set (like the Change Heading tool) or do you see it working another way?

I was thinking along the lines of a query set, much like batch add for a service queue and such.
