KLAS Windowing Issue

KLAS Windowing Issue was created by sabilye
After a more recent update to KLAS, me and a few coworkers have been noticing (and having issues with) a change to the way windows are functioning: when navigating away and then back to KLAS, selecting one of KLAS’s windows does not pull any of its parent or child windows up to the front along with it.

For example, when working with a patron who can’t quite remember the title of a book, I pull up my web browser to search for the correct name. After finding it, I alt-tab back to KLAS, but instead up pulling up all of the windows so that I can go back to the book search, it only pulls up the window for the search results of the last request the patron had.

Is anyone else having issues with this, or do you know of a way to fix this?

I think this was likely a change due to a Windows update; it wasn't a change we made in KLAS.

What I've found is that, while just alt-tabbing to a KLAS screen doesn't pull the parent or child windows back to the front with it, pulling the KLAS desktop back up after minimizing it does.

If you want to be able to pull all of your KLAS screens back to the top of the stack, I recommend minimizing the KLAS desktop instead of just alt-tabbing away. Then, when you alt-tab back to the KLAS desktop (or select it from the taskbar with a mouse), it will bring all the child windows back up with it.

I hope that's at least somewhat helpful. If you'd like us to look into this further, please feel free to email with the version of Windows you are using and the version of JAWS or other AT you are using (if any).
