duplication errors - missing files

You may have noticed a slight increase in duplication errors. There are several reasons for this, one of which is updates over the last few months to how the Scribe checks against files on BARD and then also NLS pulling files that had some sort of problem. Below is the list of titles that are currently missing the audio file on BARD or isn't on Voyager anymore. We will do the e-package status update for libraries with the Keystone cataloging service.

What to do:
  1. Enter a query set of the titles (text file with query set is attached)
  2. Go to the E-Package tab
  3. Update the Status to "Deleted" (Update the entry (ctrl-o). Change the Status field at the bottom to read "Deleted," then save (ctrl-s) the change.)
The next KLAS release includes an update to the Sanitize Queue function that will also remove titles based on epackage status. Other functions are already checking the epackage status.

And if you haven't yet, make sure DB110886 "12 seconds of silence" is marked as Withdrawn. NLS pulled the file due to a problem with the recording and hasn't been able to get a corrected file from the commercial distributor.

If you don't have time to go through the whole list of 53 titles do these 5 most popular titles at least and remove them from any Service Queues or Orders (Patron: Reports > Items and Titles > Patrons With Queued Title).

Katherina:
Regarding the steps to remove the E-pub data, should step three be to just delete the entry using Ctrl-D or the delete icon?

Nope! Update the entry (ctrl-o). Change the Status field to read "Deleted," then save (ctrl-s) the change.

I believe a future update will change the status to read 'withdrawn' or similar, but at least for now, the status is called "deleted." You are not actually deleting or removing the ePackage.

I see the issue. There are two status fields, one at the top right and the other at the bottom left. Do you mean the bottom left. I am all set.

The one at the top can't be edited - that's the title-bib info that carries over from tab to tab so you know which record you are looking at. The status to edit is on the bottom left.
