DB113893 language wrong was created by Katharina
The language for DB113893 (Lucy y el mar by Elizabeth Strout) is marked as English but should be Spanish. I have discovered a few more titles in one library that I checked that should be Spanish or are bilingual instead of English. I thought I'd have the time to fix these for hosted libraries but unfortunately I don't.
Here is a query you can run to help find titles with the wrong language on the Title-Bib:
Quick Search
Language - begins - Eng
Advanced Search
MARC Tag - Tag - begins - 520
MARC Tag - Subfield - begins - a
MARC Tag - Data - Matches - Spanish Language

The nightly programs check the PatLang and the language of the book as it is marked on the Title-Bib to make sure patrons are getting books in a language that they understand. If you use a variation of Eng-Spa bilingual as the title language only people who have "Eng-Spa" as a patlang will be able to get those books. It is better to either go with Eng or with Spa for bilingual titles and have a subject heading to identify bilingual titles.

Hi, can we fix these in a batch update, or do they need to be done one at a time? Thanks!

Hello,
Unfortunately, they do need to be done one at a time. We don't have any batch tools that will let you change the language.
You could still load them as a query set so you can just "next, next, next" your way through using the VCR buttons, though.

Regarding bilingual titles, is there any chance that a future version of KLAS will allow us to add multiple languages to a catalog record like we can add multiple languages to a patron record? Thank you.
