This message is going out to libraries that automatically load records from PICS. As we incorporate braille and audio titles from locally produced collections, especially I suspect non-KLAS libraries, there are MARC fields that aren’t quite matching up and causing some wonky codes to be created. This can be seen most often with the language code field.
You can query for these entries and change them but also you can create codes for more accurate records. There is a braille title in Greek for example; Greek was not in our codes, so I added it.
How are you all handling the creation of the non-standard codes and headings as a result of the uploads?
