Problematic Diacritics in NLS MARC records

Problematic Diacritics in NLS MARC records was created by nancy
In the November 15 2017 NEW records file from NLS, the following titles had some problematic diacritics. Loading this file will cause those diacritics to be imported into the Title records, resulting in some pretty ugly bibliographic information. Keystone is working on creating an updated file that can be loaded to fix these titles. We will post the updated file in this thread. If you load your own MARC records, you can download this updated file and load using the NEW source. (If you are hosted by Keystone, we'll be loading the updated file for you.)
Titles:

DB085976
DB089426
DB089437

If you just want to reload the four affected titles, here is the smaller file. Once again, load using the NEW source.

We've reviewed the Completed MARC records for December 2017. There are over 240 problem diacritics in the file. We've uploaded a corrected version of the file here. If you are hosted by Keystone, this is the file we will load for you. If you are self-hosted, you can reload this file, using the NLS source.

One note: If you are still seeing issues with diacritics, particularly in places like the Annotation, please contact Customer Support () More than likely, the rules that govern how duplicate records are processed (i.e., what to take from the incoming MARC record versus what to keep from the existing MARC record) need to be adjusted for the MARC source you are using.
